Tomorrow we move into our apartment and I am sure that the first few days after that will be pretty crazy. So, I have decided to get things up to date on our time in Seattle so far. We arrived late last Sunday. After exploring Renton for a little bit we searched for a place to eat. We looked for a long time and couldn't find anything. We had no idea we were only a block from blocks of strip malls, restaurants and a mall. We finally found a Cheesecake Factory. It was amazing and well worth the wait.
On Monday we went to Downtown Seattle. We walked around Pike Place Market and enjoyed views of the ocean. We enjoyed looking at all the vendors, especially the flowers and the fish. We ate fish and chips from a little stand and had the most amazing fresh donuts. We had a great time and really enjoyed spending a relaxing day together. We bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a tiny little carved giraffe and tiger.
On Tuesday we drove around and looked at the area and lots of apartments. I was really discouraged by what we looked at. The only apartment that we really liked was out of our price range. The only ones we could afford were nice, but not really what we wanted. A nice kitchen and lots of space, is that too much to ask?
I don't really remember what we did on Wednesday, I am drawing a complete blank. In the afternoon Dan went to his pre-employment orientation.
Thursday morning we went on a little field trip to Snoqualmie Falls and a little train museum. It was a little cold but we had a picnic and a great time. In the afternoon we went with our Apartment Finder, Monique. On the first try we found and amazing apartment, it is perfect. It had a beautiful kitchen with plenty of counter space, lots of room, vaulted ceilings, a fireplace and an amazing view of a river and trees!
Friday was Dan's first day of work. I went to a job interview and got lost on the way home, that was interesting. It took me an hour and a half to get back to the hotel when it should have taken 15 minutes.
We have really enjoyed being here in Renton. Dan loves it because it reminds him so much of Virginia. Yesterday was the first day that it has rained since we got here, knock on wood. The forecast for tomorrow is 82, that would be perfect for our move in-Keep your fingers crossed!

We were lost the majority of the time when we where there, you'll get better. Our apartment was pretty expensive too and sooo small we lived in Snohomish, really close to Everett.
I loved Pike's Place Market on P-days. Don't forget to go see the VW eating troll under the Fremont Bridge.
