Aside from getting settled into a routine with Eli, we have had a lot of visitors and very busy days. On the 8th we blessed Eli, and we were lucky enough to have a lot of family come visit for that special occasion. My (Kami's) Mom came on the 5th, which was her Birthday. Getting to meet Eli for the first time was the best present ever. Dan's parents, brother, sister in law and 2 nephews came on Friday the 6th. And our friends the Dale's came on Saturday the 7th. It was a very busy weekend with lots of new people for Eli. Unfortunately, Friday night he was a little over stimulated and had a hard time settling down. So Eli and I were up almost all night long, and were not feeling up to going out and playing Saturday, especially since the weather was cold and rainy.
Eli was blessed by his Daddy, and he did a beautiful job. There are only a few pictures of Eli in his blessing outfit though. Shortly after being blessed he had the blow out of all blow out poopy diapers. As you can see from the picture he was covered, and there was no chance of putting him back in it for pictures. Thank you Laura Dale, for coming into the Mothers room 2 minutes before the poop disaster, your help was priceless.
The other exciting event so far this months, is that we are moving. Our lease is up in April, and our apartment complex wanted to raise our rent 105$ a month. That put a horrible taste in my mouth. Right now they are offering bigger apartments for less then we are paying, and they want to raise ours? I know that it is a business tactic, but I didn't like it. We started looking around in February and I have been getting really discouraged. I hate apartment living and long to be in a house. We are also on the 3rd floor, and it is getting harder and harder for me to carry Eli up and down in his car seat. Some places you live feel like home and some places you just live, and this apartment has never really felt like home to me.
Well long story short, after lots of looking and not feeling that "home" feeling, we finally found it. We had looked at this apartment when we moved here last year, and loved it! The only problem was that they only had a 3 bedroom available, and it was out of our price range. Well Dan saw an ad on craigslist that they were giving a free month rent and a free wii if you leased this weekend, and the rent was a lot cheaper. When we went into the apartment all of the feelings of loving the apartment from last year came back. The only thing we had a hard time deciding was whether to take the 2 bedroom 1 bath or the 2 bedroom 2 bath.
We are so excited to move, can you believe it? For me this is going to be the 6th move since meeting Dan 3 years ago, but I don't care, I love this apartment. We are so excited to be in a place we love and so excited to be saving over $200 a month!
Eli is doing great. He is a wonderful baby. He is starting to smile a lot and he is a really great sleeper. We feel really lucky have such a well mannered baby. He are some of the 600 plus pictures that we have taken of him.

What a cute picture with his Grandma. Mom and Dad Shaw
He is a cutie, definitely Dan's boy! I think Anna had a blowout in her blessing gown too. I go through a lot of BIZ bleach.
Who was the anonymous poster? That's creepy.
Glad to see you are doing so well. Eli looks adorable.
When is the big move?
The "anonymous" poster put their names at the end of their message...so not that creepy.
